Irma Marie Santa Cruz passed away in her home surrounded by her loving husband and family on January 27, 2015 following a courageous battle with breast cancer.  She was born on January 11, 1957 in Tucson, AZ to her parents Olga O and Carlos Y Moreno who preceded her in death when Irma was just 13 years old.  Irma is survived by her high school sweetheart of 41 years, Frank G Santa Cruz and their beloved children Frank (Andrea), Erick (Laura), Marisa Espinoza (Andy).  She was a devoted grandmother to grandchildren Jessica, Frank, Clarissa, Aerica, Arianna, Aleq, Zarron, Zaq. Also survived by her brothers Carlos (Bonnie) and Bob (Lonna) Moreno and sister Betty Villegas (Juan), Mother-in-law Artemisa Santa Cruz and Sister-in-laws Rita and Terry Santa Cruz.  She was a beloved aunt to all her nieces and nephews: Olga, Mia, Shelly, Gary, Evelina, Gabriel, Marcia, Adam, Artie, Lorraine, and Tonio, and all her little grand nieces and nephews who always brightened up her day.  She had a special place in her heart for her cousins, aunts, uncles and special friends.  She will be remembered for her genuine personality and smile, contagious laugh, beautiful faithful spirit, and unconditional love for her family.  Irma was a woman of strong faith and shared her love for the Lord with everyone she met, with the ability to brighten your day with her smile, encouraging words and quick wit!  If you were a Facebook friend, you were touched almost daily by her inspirational quotes, scriptures, songs, family pictures and Selfies.  She was an inspiration to all who knew her, facing her 14 years of battling cancer with strength, grace and courage and dignity. The family would like to give a special thanks to Compadre Bernie Trejo for his love, time and support during her final days. They would also like to thank her medical team, Dr. Modiano, Dr. Gin and Dr. Brakel, and the entire staff at St Mary’s Arizona Oncology and Casa de Luz Hospice for providing her and the family compassionate care and support during her final days.  Family and Friends are invited to her Celebration of Life service to be held on Saturday February 7, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Chapel West Campus, 5150 S Julian Dr., Tucson, AZ.  Arrangements by Avenidas Cremation & Burial.  Donations can be made in Irma Santa Cruz memory to Hope Matters Breast Cancer Foundation, a local non-profit tax-exempt organization.
